Chair Planting Workshop
by Diane Urbans

8:00 AM, Cost $65

In this workshop with our step-by-step instructions and your hands on designing, you will create an interesting piece of garden art to add to your garden or yard to enjoy for years.
Materials included are a chair, hardware cloth, netting, angel moss and perennial succulents.

Each participant needs to bring a heavy duty stapler, hammer, gloves and kneeling pad.


Class size is limited to 12, pre registration is required.
Approximately 1 1/2 hours required.

Flower note cards

Pounded Flower Cards Workshop
(if only nature had a hammer!)

Note cards created from arranging flowers and weeds on card stock, layering materials, and then transferring the color to the card by pounding with a hammer. Flower material is then brushed away, leaving only it's varying degrees of pigment color on the card forming unique and interesting floral designs. Finishing details added with black defining marker.

Hypertufa Pagoda Light Workshop

Make a useful garden decoration, a pagoda light. We will use a light cement mixture (hypertufa) that will dry white, no need to paint.

Each participant needs to bring 1 bag of play sand and 2 plastic garbage bags.

Steppping Stone

Making a Stepping Stone Workshop

11:30 AM, Cost $35

Design and make a homemade stepping stone to personalize your garden, walkway or yard. The cement mix and a 10" x 10" frame are provide.

Bring the special items to personalize it such as and old plate, broken pottery, ceramic tiles, flat rocks, colored glass, etc. Check out a thrift store for fun items to use but be sure they are fairly flat.

Each participant needs to bring plastic or rubber gloves and a mosaic glass cutter if you want precise angles on ceramic or glass pieces.

Class size is limited to 12, pre registration is required.
Approximately 2 hours required.

Solar Table Light Workshop

Easy to make solar lights for outdoor tables and gardens.
Everything is included to make 3 solar lights for a table grouping. Colored glass jewels supplied to make the lights have that extra glow for summer nights.

Glass Creations

Are you looking for a one of a kind piece of jewelry?
Learn the process of glass fusing using a glass kiln to create a one of a kind glass piece, such as a necklace pendant! You will also have the option of incorporating natural elements like stone or shells into your piece.
Costs include all supplies needed for attendees to create 3-4 unique finished pieces of jewelry. More pieces if time allows. ATTENDEES WILL NEED TO BRING SAFETY GLASSES.

Miniature Garden Workshop

Design and plant a beautiful miniature garden complete with furniture and accessories. The fee includes container, potting soil, living plants and accessories. Additional items will be available for purchase.
